I chose this subject because of the resent crisis in our society and I think people can benefit from having vital information collected in one place.

The purpose of this project was to find out if there is a need for an application with comprehensive information on how to prepare for a crisis situation such as a pandemic or war, and if so, create a prototype of the app for possible future development.
I gathered information from various government websites and took inspiration from private websites about prepping. The work resulted in a prototype for a mobile application with two different parts.

The first part of the app is kind of like a digital pantry, to be able keep track of all the food, water and other equipment that is stored in the house. The app would allow you to specify the number of residents in the house and the app would then calculate how much food, water and other necessities that needs to be stored for a chosen number of days to accommodate the basic needs.
The second part of the app is information about how to store water in the best way, how to cook food without electricity and other information that is important to know in order to cope in the best way if you cannot leave your home or if shops are closed. The app would be built to function offline in case of the internet service not working.
