THE GOAL
minPension is a partly government financed service that aims to help people plan their pension.
They had found during their research that many people having a hard time planning their pension for retirement.

The target group for this project was people who still worked part time during their retirement.
So our problem statement was: How do we help people who are retiring feel less overwhelmed when the are planning their pension? Solution: pensionsGuiden.

METHOD AND TOOLS
We started by doing interviews with 20 people from our target group. From the insights we collected from the interviews we discovered some similar themes and patters, and from our research and the previous research conducted by minPension, we created 3 personas within our target group.
These were: The unmotivated, the curious and the expert. We agreed that "The unmotivated" would benefit the most from this project, so we focused our attention there.
The team then created a user journey for the ”unmotivated” early in the project to get a better understanding of the obstacles they were facing when it came to planning their pension.

We created a basic prototype and did usability testing and interviews with friends and family, and after some iterations we did the same with people from our taget group. The participants were encouraged to think aloud and we recorded their screen.

RESULT
The result became a guide with step by step questions, and based on those questions the guide would give the user relevant information in small portions so as not to be overwhelmed and feel more motivated. pensionGuiden also included a quiz and the option for more in depth reading.

Some of the insights we gained from this project was that it is not just about the money, it also makes them feel useful and gets them a better social life.
